Mathieu was originally from Gatineau Quebec, where he was a paramedic with the Cooperative Des Paramedics de l’Outaouais. He was moved to Calgary in 2013 for rehabilitation from a terrible brain injury that he suffered in an accident while doing the job he so much loved.
